DOLOMITES
A natural spectacle
A wonderful landscape to explore, on foot or by mountain bike: since 2009, the Dolomites have been part of the UNESCO World Heritage. Among the Dolomites are the Marmolada, the Sella, the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, the Sciliar massif, the Catinaccio and Odle groups, as well as the Sassolungo.
A special destination is the Alpe di Siusi: it can only be reached by cable car or with a special permit. If you wish to admire this natural spectacle, we regularly organize bus excursions directly from our hotel.
MERAN
In the heart of South Tyrol
Our hotel is located on the edge of the village of Marlengo (340 m a.s.l.), yet the view also extends to the city of Merano, surrounded by mountains reaching up to 3,337 metres, where the Val Passiria, Val Venosta, and Val d’Adige meet. Known since the 19th century for its thermal treatments, it was one of the first tourist destinations of the Habsburg Empire, also cherished by Empress Sissi. The heart of Merano is its historic centre with the Arcades, home to romantic cafés, traditional shops, and exclusive boutiques. Moreover, the Merano Thermal Baths, designed by Matteo Thun and inaugurated in 2005, are not only an architectural masterpiece but also feature a 50,000 m² spa park.
TERRITORY
Between Nature and History
Hiking trails, peaks over 3,000 metres, alpine meadows and lakes, as well as numerous castles and manor houses, many of which have now been converted into museums: the area surrounding the hotel is rich in possibilities and experiences. A particularly evocative destination, open from April to November, is the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle, offering a fascinating journey through around 80 natural and cultural landscapes from all over the world. In addition to typical plants, they feature architectural elements such as the Japanese pavilion, an underground grotto, a lily pond, a suspension bridge, and a plant labyrinth. Their sloping location, with over 100 metres of elevation difference, provides unique panoramic views.
